Hermès - Cadogan Place
Designed by renowned architects and interior design specialists, RDAI, this Hermès boutique unfolds over two floors, which are united by a grand, undulating staircase, perhaps deliberately curved to temper the building's strict, 1950's angles.
The stair is encased in white plaster and finished with European oak treads. A simple balustrade design is complimented with a handrail clad in full grain leather in Hermès signature caramel hues.
The staircase is surrounded by glossy marmorino walls, which conceal a steel framework used for additional support as the structural capacity of the existing building was insufficient to accommodate a staircase of this type.
